The studio aims to sensitize students to empathetically respond to natural and rural landscapes towards community revitalization through appropriate design interventions. This studio recognizes the need for students of Landscape Architecture and Design to appreciate the inter-relationship between nature and human beings. As design professionals, our actions through design interventions cast long lasting influences on the quality of life of the various users through direct and indirect interventions. The approach to the studio is be to comprehend the characteristics and underlying forces of natural and rural settings. The program and site are selected from an outcome of the individual interactions with and interpretations of the selected landscape setting. The program should address community interests and enhance the quality of the landscape.
