The library as a public institution has evolved over time in order to remain relevant in the digital information age. The role of public library in society has been reinvented from that of a traditional repository of knowledge to a more holistic social place with new dimensions that encourage interaction and collaboration through exchange of ideas along with hosting a number of cultural, recreational and outreach activities. The intent of this project is to look at the library specifically as an institution that appeals to the youth by being part of a larger program of a ‘Centre for Young Adults'.
